Well, it turns out that it was the right decision to purchase our tickets last night since at 12:15 today I received word that we should book our flights!
Apparently, there is a technical difficulty that is preventing the written confirmation to come through for the consulate appointments (I'm telling you - don't get in line behind me at the grocery store), but they are 99% sure on the plan as scheduled so they gave us the green light.
I told them that we already booked the tickets and they swiftly put together the following itinerary:

We are getting very excited and now we can plan the final details of our packing list, cleaning, and spending our last weekend as a family of six!

Congratulations! I'm so happy to see this post and that in just a few short days you'll have your precious daughter! Can't wait to follow your journey as it was one year ago we were in Guiyang.
